Monday kicks off the week with a lecture on Design Theory. A lecture is a class where a teacher explains something to a large group. You learn how architects think about space, light, and function. After that, you work in a small group on a design assignment. This week, you make a first sketch for a new apartment building in a city neighbourhood.

On Tuesday, you head to the CAD and 3D modelling practical. CAD [Computer-Aided Design] means you draw using special software on a computer. You turn your sketch into a digital 3D model. On Wednesday, you discuss this model with your project group. Together, you check whether the design works and whether it looks good. You give each other honest feedback, so you need to be able to handle criticism too.
