On Monday you start the week with a lecture in Structural Engineering. You learn how bridges and roads are built to be strong enough. The lecturer explains what forces act on a bridge. You take notes and ask questions. After that, you have time to work through practice problems on your own.
On Tuesday you work in a project group. Together with four fellow students you work on a real design, for example a new cycle bridge. You discuss who does what and make a first drawing. On Wednesday you have a Bestektekenen [technical drawing] practical. This means making detailed technical drawings of a construction plan. You use special software on the computer and learn to draw the way it is done in real life.
HAVO diploma (preferably N&T or N&G profile) with mathematics, VWO diploma or MBO-4 diploma in a technical field.
The Computer Science program provides knowledge and skills for developing software and systems.
