Your week starts on Monday with a lecture on Care Management and Organisation. The lecturer explains how a care institution, like a nursing home or hospital, is structured. You take notes and ask questions. After that, you work independently on an assignment about improving a care process — in other words, how care can run better and faster. You read a text and write a short summary.
On Tuesday you have a seminar on Financial Management in Healthcare. In small groups, you work out how a department divides its budget — the money it is allowed to spend. This can feel tricky if you are not a numbers person. Wednesday is all about Human Resource Management, which means staff policy. You learn how to hire, guide, and motivate employees as a manager. You practise this in a role play: you play the manager and a fellow student plays a new employee.
