(KNO Arts) As an ENT doctor, you diagnose and treat disorders of the throat, nose, and ears in patients of all ages. You perform complex operations such as sleep apnea corrections, hearing implants, and oncological procedures in the head and neck area. In your daily practice, you work closely with audiologists, speech therapists, and plastic surgeons to provide multidisciplinary care. You are also involved in scientific research and supervising medical students and residents during their training.
As an ENT doctor, you usually start as a resident in a hospital where you specialize during 5-6 years of training. After your specialization, you can advance to become a senior physician, department head, or even a partner in a hospital practice. Additionally, the field offers excellent opportunities for subspecialization in areas such as oncology, pediatric ENT, or plastic surgery. The job market for ENT doctors remains strong due to an aging population and increasing complexity of treatments.
AI supports your diagnostic process through automatic analysis of CT and MRI scans for early detection of tumors and anatomical abnormalities. Machine learning algorithms help predict treatment outcomes and personalize therapy plans for hearing loss. Robotic assistance in microscopic ear surgeries improves precision of procedures and reduces operation times. Your role shifts more toward complex decision-making, patient communication, and interpreting AI-generated data for optimal healthcare delivery.
